1-1-11 DB Dailies

Happy New Year !! It was a busy little start to the Monk Seal year. At 0740 I found M38 up in the Morning Glory, right of 3BS on Rabbit Island. At 0744 what proved to be Kolohe hauled out and began moving up to join him. I changed locations, and when I looked again from MO at 0800, both were in the water.

When I got back to MP at 1017 M38 was just hauling out to the left end of the Middle Cliff where he spent the rest of the day. What would to be Kolohe and Duke, hauled out together at Seal Rock Inlet at 1105 and remained there the rest of the day. 

A Makapuu lifeguard called at 0923 reporting "the baby seal" hauling out to the left side of the beach. When we arrived at 0937 we found Makana. We cordoned him off and he remained there until departing of his own volition at 1625.

Team Billand reported RO28 at Maili Pt at 0859. At 0955 they found Kermit fronting #1706 at White Plains.  They reported that Benny had joined Kermit at 1620.

Dera called at 1120 to report an animal at Rocky Point on the North Shore. Jeanie Martinson would confirm the Right Spot ID at 1243.  Also at 1120 Dera reported an animal at Ft. DeRussy. Dana Jones responded and confirmed the Rocky ID at 1309.
