1-25-11 DB Dailies

No luck on the pass through the SE quadrant, but at 0840 , from the Makapuu Overview I found what would prove to be Makana, up in grass at the back of Rocky Right Beach, at the far right end of Rabbit Island. He would later move down allowing the ID, and remained all day.

I got to Makai Pier at 0850 and Makana was still the only visible critter, however on one of many pans of the beach, I became aware of a seal shaped rock at the left end of the Middle Cliff area. Sure enough the rock moved, and when the light got better I could see that it was Duke. He'd probably been there all along and I'd just missed him in the shadows and funky morning light. He too would remain all day.

On a pan at 1105 I became aware of a new arrival to the water front rocks, left of Seal Rock Inlet. It would take a while , but it would prove to be M38. Like the others , he too snoozed away the rest of the day.

Team Billand checked in at 0930 with the report of RO28 at her usual spot at Maili Pt. I guess things must be getting back to "normal". The gang is hitting all the usual spots again.

The Billands called again at 1058 to advise that Kermit was fronting #1708 at White Plains.

In the "Yesterday's News" Department, for those of you who get the dailies, but don't necessarily read da' blog, first....... tsk,tsk,tsk.... You should be ashamed of yourselves !!! You ALWAYS begin each day by checking da' blog, THEN you are allowed a bathroom break, coffee, paper etc.. ALLL Posse People should know dat' !! (DB writes the majority of the blog and HE checks in every morning.... and much to my enjoyment, I occasionally have things here that are news to him. ) Anyway, Lesley did the KP trek yesterday and sent photos too late for the dailies, but The Donna got the shots and had them on line this morning. As I suspected from conversations with Lesley yesteday, it proved to be two of the boys, Kerby and CeeCee, at the end of the world. Check yesterday's blog for Lesley's shots. Kerby is the guy with the broken tag and partially submerged. CeeCee is the guy with the barely visible "C..C" scars, and the natural bleach on his forehead.
