6/13/2016 DB's Dailies: Kaiwi@AD, Weaner&U/M@Rabbit Island, RIP@Maili Point, Nihoa&Pup@Mokuleia,

Marilyn arrived at AD at 0530, just in time to see Kaiwi (RK96) galumph into the water at the “party tree”. Thereafter she swam and galumphed her way beyond the AD Wall, and then back, and then back, before doing an small snooze 600 ft east of the wall. Then back in, back beyond the wall, and then out and east. Gayle would report her haul out back at the party tree at 1141. Her stay at AD has now gone on for a week. I began thinking that she was there to pup any minute, but watching here negotiate all the rocks and tide pools over and over again this past week, I see a girl that ain’t slowin’ down for nothin’. It tires me out just watching her. Mahalos to Marilyn, Gayle & Diane G. !

 When I finally got to Makai Pier at 1126 I found the Weaner at 1BS, and an U/M , 80 ft right of 3BS on Rabbit Island. A conversation with Tracy brought word that there will be no RI trip this week due to heavy seas. The Weaner will hopefully be tagged next week.

 Team Billand checked in at 0730 with the report of RIP (RR70) at Maili Pt. The rising tide would push him off the rocks at 0820.

 Our Pal Val, came through with Pohaku (RO28) photos on Kauai today. Still Waitin’!
