Posse member Gayle recounted events of midday at the AD zone. Volunteer Gina noticed cargo net on the water front rocks east of the present location of Kaiwi&PO4. Jon and all other appropriate personnel were advised and DOCARE removed the net without any visible affect on Kaiwi&PO4. A great job was done by all. My heart goes out to Gina because the few meaningful things that have happened on this pupping event so far, have occurred on her watch. She is a beautiful, young woman, but I’m afraid that by the end of the 32 or so more days of this , she will end up looking just like me ! Thanks Gina, Ya’ Done Good !!!
I got to Makai Pier at 0830 and found Kala (weaner) at 1BS, Kekoa&RG32 at 3BS, on Rabbit Island.
Marilyn reported an animal at Lanai Lookout at 0815, but an ID was not possible. At 1330 I confirmed the Kolohe (RW22) ID by right side natural bleach. Posse member Kathy Segum advised that Kolohe was gone at 1655.
In the Yesterday’s News department, Gary Langley sent photos of Pohaku&PK3 on Kauai. Thank You Gary !!
