At 1019 Kainoa (RN04) hauled out to join them. All would remain the entire day.
At 1256 Melanie called with the report of a small, green animal doing 4-5 minute dives at Spitting Cave. Marilyn had not seen anybody on her earlier morning session. Melanie,Marilyn& I all spent the afternoon trying to get an ID on this critter. I have no doubt whatsoever that this was my “little green girl” that has been my nemisis for many weeks now, and once again we had to walk away without an ID. It was “Victory at Sea” conditions, with hideous afternoon glare to boot, so everything was against us. Maybe tomorrow ???
Team Billand once again had the boyz at Maili Point today. First to arrive was Kolohe (RW22) followed by Kimo Kai (RT12), then Kekoa (RK72) and lastly, RIP (RR70). They managed to pack four big bodies into a single water hole.
In the Yesterday’s News department, photos of yesterday’s Nani & U/U with turtle shots arrived from Lusi & Jason Perry at Fort Hase Beach, MCBH. Nani is her usual cute. My guess is that the U/U might well be KC, based on the fishing line scar at the left corner of her mouth, and knowing that she frequents this location, but ???? Lusi advised that there were no critters there today.
