When I got back at 0917 there were now 3 animals there. The other 2 would prove to be RM38 and Kainoa (RN04).
At 0926 little RG32 hauled out and moved up to join the gang. All of the others would move down to check him out, individually, though there was minimal actual interaction. All would remain the entire day. At 1150 would would prove to be Kaiwi (RK96) hauled out of Seal Rock Inlet, well away from the boyz.
The Donna texted that a friend and reported an animal, and sent a photo of somebody at “Cockroach Bay” which is the place were the surfers go out , along side the road, at the pier end of Kaupo Beach Park. I looked down from my office and sure enough there was an animal there. When I arrived at 1240 I confirmed the Right Spot (R016) ID, and cordoned her off. Mahalos to Donna & Friend! I picked up the rope at dark. Right Spot remains. (mahalo to Ka'iulani who called me with the 411 today.... this wonderful woman looks out for our seals while she's working too as a guide at Kailua Sailboard & Kayaks... She is a true blue monk seal protector).
At 0640 Team Billand called with the report of Pohaku (RO28) at Zablan Beach, Nanakuli. She probably overnighted. Mahalos to Warren, Melina & Deb for being there. Per Deb, Pohaku departed at 1644.
At 0932 Tammy T., checked in from the End of the World. Their initial find was Ka’ena (RO40) & RW02 on the Back Beach, however RW02 would relocate to the Main Beach. At around 1300 the Billands reported 2 foraging animals off shore of Maili Point. Kekoa was ID’d, but the other one remains an U/U.
