11/22/2015 DB's Dailies: Kolohe&Kimo Kai@Rabbit Island, DB, Holokai@Turtle Bay, Carola&Howard, Benny @ White Plains, RL42 @ Makua Cliffs, Team Billand

It was yet another crappy, rainy, slippery slide kinda’ day. Too much rain & too much mud. Rabbit Island was a nearly impossible challenge, but at 1028, less that 15 seconds of clarity allowed me to see Kolohe (RW22) at the log, 40 ft left of 1BS, and Kimo Kai (RT12) out on the left end rock flats. I could get no sense of the extent of Kolohe’s molt, but I was happy to see that it has progressed to the point that his right side “cue ball” bleach is clean. That was the extent of the SE quadrant finds.

 A Team Billand text at 0930 advised that White Plains lifeguard posse member, Dennis had reported an animal at Tower#2. The Billands were just a few minutes out, but even though they got there at 0933 the animal was still gone. Dennis thought it was Benny. Dennis would call again at 1507, again with the report of Benny, between #1707&1708, WP.

 The Billands confirmed the Benny (RE74) ID when they arrived on scene. The Billands also reported RL42 at Makua Cliffs at 1520.

 CarolaMail arrived at 1828. She and Howard were at Turtle Bay today. They were rewarded for their efforts with a little quality time with Holokai (RG40) at the Keiki Pool.
