At 0715 I found Kolohe (RW22) snoozin’ at his log, 40 ft left of 1BS. He would later move down, allowing the ID, by that beautiful “cue ball” bleach
Melanie was on it today, and at 1348 called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96), once again a China Walls.
At 0559 Team Billand reported an overnighted Benny (RE74) , high on the beach between #1707/1708, White Plains.
At 0611 they reported the arrival Buster (RV08) fronting Tower#1, White Plains. He would later move over to Benny’s zone. Much Malahos to Warren, Zuly, Jan&Willie and Bev who spent time in the trenches at WP today !! Bev advised that Buster departed at 1610.
At 0730 Diane Gabriel reported in from Elbow Beach, Turtle Bay, in the company of La’akea (RK82). She went early because she was aware of a 5K race there. She reported 200+ people running by La’akea’s location. Fortunately, up on the path, and had little influence on La’akea’s day.
Ocean Safety called at 1020 with the report of an animal at Makaha Beach. Team Billand contacted Deb, who confirmed the Pohaku (RO28) ID at 1133. Pohaku would depart at 1440, per Melina.
At 1020 Team Billand reported Kekoa (RK72) at the Reef Runway.
Dana forwarded a shot of an animal at V-land, on the North Shore, at 1042. Unfortunately the shot did not allow an ID.
BillandMail at 1923 advised that Brandi had called them about 4 seals near Germaine’s Luau Grounds, Campbell Industrial Park. A response in the dark and rain seemed a bit much. They will check first thing in the morning.

We are very grateful for the volunteers who came out in force YESTERDAY, on THANKGIVING DAY. I wish we had all those guys again, as Benny will go into molt soon.
It helps when we got such support of each person...then we dont have to stay on one beach from 6am to 7pm. I can not stress enough, we need the help with these seals. THANKS ALL.
New day begins, we shall see who is out there on shore, I really liked it that Buster came back ... he himself looks like he wants to molt soon too. I really liked the fact he joined Benny IN ONE ZONE!!!
We were thrilled to locate Kekoa Alii RK72, especially after the shocking death of his sister, U ilani. I still cant believe she is gone forever. Looking at her empty telephone pole without her wallow: Pure SADNESS, we miss her so much. Dam it.
I am glad Debbie was on it too to make the id of the missing Pohaku R028. Being we are with Benny most of the days, we cant go hunting for her. I am sure the weasels are having a great time playing with her.
To Miss Melina for taking the hours with Pohaku on a difficult beach in Makaha, Bless you. For sticking it out in the rain. I was freaking out when Melina text me, SHARK SIGHTING!!!! And thanks to Melina for keeping the lifeguards away from Pohaku during the shark sighting...
Again, thanks all you volunteers for all the help, PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN...Please.
Oh and to Madhatter, hope you are ok, it was great seeing you out there with your Grand Daughter. Maybe we will meet again..
