6-16-2014 DB's Dailies:Buster@BH&SB, Duke@SC&RI, Kaiwi@KK, Aukai,Kainoa,Pua&U/F@RI, Benny@DH&OCC, RK36@Mokuleia

At 0625 I found Buster (RV08) doing 5 minute dives at Blowhole. At 1016 he would haul out to the east end of Sandy Beach. I cordoned him off and he has remained.

Gayle called at 1716to advise that Buster was gone. She was pickin’ up da’ stuffs. Thank You Gayle ! 

At 0710 I found Duke (RA12) doing 11 minute dives at Spitting Cave. I last saw him there at 0745. That is meaningful because at 1227 he hauled out to Rocky Right Beach on Rabbit Island.

 At 1003 I found Kaiwi (RK96) once again at Irma’s Grotto, Kokee Flats, Portlock.

 I finally got to Makai Pier at 1058 for Rabbit Island observations. I found Aukai (RL12), 80 ft left of 1BS, Kainoa (RN04), 40 ft right of 3BS, and a probably juvenile, U/F, with 2 red tags, on the rocks at Rocky Right Beach. I was never able to get an ID. Duke would haul out to join her at 1227.

 At 1211 on a pan I found Pua (RF34) just hauling out fronting Left Greenery on RI.

 Team Billand checked in at 0817 with the report of M&M (R020) fronting Tower#2, White Plains. 

Diane Gabriel was doing Luana hunt today, and though she did not see Luana, she did report RK36 at the birth beach, Mokuleia.

 Dana called at 1600, followed closely by Colleen advising of an animal reported at the Lighthouse, Diamond Head. Tony also responded but the animal was gone when he arrived. There was further word of an/the animal at Outrigger Canoe Club. Colleen advised that she was on the hunt. Colleen email advised that it was a male , with a red tag, but no ID at this time. Evening Colleen mail has arrived and the mystery guest is none other than Benny !! He’d last been reported at Turtle Bay on 6-4-14.

 With regard to Karen Rohter’s find of 4DV yesterday at Kahala, word from Tracy arrived today advising that Temp500 is not accurate. He known by his ID # which is T990. He is one of the old dudes from Laysan, translocated Molokai long ago.
