At 0846 I found Duke (RA12) doing 11-13 minute dives at Spitting Cave. More on him later.
My first look at Rabbit Island was nil (its World Cup season), but when I finally got back at 1058 I found what would prove to be Kainoa (RN04), 30 ft right of 3BS on RI.
At 1104 what proved to be Kolohe (RW22) hauled out, 70 ft right of 3BS, and initially began moving to Kainoa, but changed his horny mind with the next haul out.
At 1106 what turned out to be Nani (RK60) hauled out 100 ft right of 3BS on RI. Kolohe abruptly changing direction and moved to join her.
Gayle called at 1134 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Irma’s Grotto, Kokee Flats, Portlock. Gayle would come through again with a call at 1215 with the report of 2 animals at the Lanai Lookout Cove.
When I arrived at 1236 she had already made the Duke (RA12) & Aukai (RL12),ID by tag. I simply confirmed the ID and got photos. Thank You Gayle ! You are worth many times your weight in Manapua !!!
