6/9/2014 DB's Dailies: Duke&SC, Pua&Kainoa@RI, Buster@WP, Haupu@KR, Ka'ena,Kerby&RK36@KP

At 0710 I found Duke (RA12) once again at Spitting Cave doing 10-11 minute dives.

 At 1434 posse member Alice called with the report of a “mom & baby” at Spitting Cave. I finally convinced her that she more likely saw a big one and a littler one. She said she saw both at the same time on a dive. I stayed from 1500 till 1600, and found only Duke, still doing 11 minute dives. Maybe tomorrow ?????

 At 0900 I found a newly arrived Pua (RF34) on the left end rock flats, and Kainoa (RN04) snoozin’ 80 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island.

 The Billands called at 0649 advising that Buster (RV08) was doing a “drive by” through White Plains.
At 0710 he briefly hauled out fronting the Snack Shack, but returned to the water at 0713, only to haul out again at Tower#2 at 0755. He would depart at 1005.

 At 1045 Team Billand reported Haupu (RB24) at Kermit’s Reef, Nimitz Cove. She would depart at 1100.

 At 1356 the Billands advised that they had responded to a Cianna call about an animal at the Waianae Rest Camp, but alas the animal was gone when they got there.

 Kimo Smith did the Ka’ena Point trek today and found Ka’ena (RO40), Kerby (RW08) & RK36 at the end of the world. Doesn't sound like there was any Luana sighting at Ka'ena Point.
