At 0902 I found RA20 just hauling out to Eternity Beach. I cordoned her off and with the help of Melanie & Marilyn we took care of her for the day. At 1630 things took an interesting turn. Teri who was on top, pointed out the arrival of Kea (RN46) to me, in the channel. At 1639 he hauled out, and he and RA20 met up. Much movement of cordon happened between then and dark. When I departed at 1900 they were both still there and very high up on the beach. Sadly, I must pass on that Kea has picked up a hook in the whiskers on the left side of his mouth . It is very small, with just a short piece of line.
At 1047 Melanie called with the report of Kea (RN46) at the Lanai Lookout cove. When I arrived I found a pile of rope debris on the ledge with her. Diver posse member Paul Hasley removed the rope.
At 0643 Team Billand reported Kermit (R012) & Benny (RE74) together at 1708A, and Makaiwi (R4DF) at #1708B. Benny would depart at 0652, and return again at 1208.
At 0836 the Billands reported Buster (RV08) hauling out to join Kermit. Buster would depart at 0937.
Dana called with an HPD , "dead seal report". When she arrived at Nanakai Beach, Maili she found a very green, and very much alive, adult male animal. The Billands would confirm the T21M ID at 1042.
Please check the blog in the morning for the Billands day.
