I last saw Kolohe (RW22) at Rabbit Island on 11-2-13. He has been chasin’ chicks in the SW quadrant ever since then. To my surprise I found him snoozin’ left of 1BS on Rabbit Island on my first look at 0723. He would remain all day.
Also at 0723 I found Kaiwi (RK96) fronting 3BS.
On a pan at 0818 I found Kainoa (RN04) fronting 1BS on RI.
At 0940 a 100% molted RM38 hauled out to 3BS. He maintained a 25 ft separation from Kaiwi. The entire RI cast remained all day.
At 1035 I found Kea (RN46) snoozin’ on the water front rocks, 75ft east of the AD Wall. I cordoned him off . Thanks Melanie for the shift ! Kea departed at 1714.
Team Billand called at 0650 with the report of Makaiwi (R4DF) at #1707 and Benny (RE74) at #1708.
At 0819 the Billands found M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds. As we spoke Buster (RV08) hauled out to join her.
Cianna called at 0824 with the report of an U/U at Secrets. The Billands reported Pohaku (RO28) at 0837.
At 0923 Team Billand reported the arrival of Kermit (R012) to join Makaiwi at 1707.
At 0923 Dana called to advise that Pohaku was now at Banyans Beach, KoOlina. Dana advised that Pohaku departed at 1804
Lesley called at 1005 to give an update on U’ilani’s activities at the Ala Wai Yacht Habor. She had been reported there last night and today. Last night it was thought there might be a hooking but that proved not to be the case.
At 1046 the Billands reported the arrival of Buster (RV08) to Kermit & Makaiwi’s location at 1707. They reported lots of battling by the boyz. Buster would finally depart at 1216. He returned at 1619, had words with Kermit and moved to Makaiwi.
Cianna called at 1335 with a report of an U/U with a white spot on the head (T21M ???) somewhere between the Kahala Hotel&Resort and Wailupe. Thats a lot of territory, and with the Marathon nearly a mission impossible to get to. To my complete surprise my wife, Marilyn called at 1508 from T21M’s side near Wailupe. When she walked out of the house she was going to recyle bottles. I had no idea she intended to do that. Thanks babe.... Ya’ Done Good !! Photos confirm the T21M ID. Residents put out cones and will monitor him and keep us advised.
At 1414 Cianna called again with the report of an U/U at Laniakea Beach on the North Shore. Honu folks and handling. Awaiting further info.
Another Cianna call at 1459 brought the dreaded news of an animal at the Hale Koa, in Waikiki. Dana advised that it was in fact Rocky (RH58). Thankfully, she departed at 1804, per Dana.
