My first pass through the SE Quadrant was a bust, but when I got back to the Makapuu Overview (MO) at 0909 I found what would prove to be RIP on the beach , directly below 1BS on Rabbit Island. He would remain there all day.

From Makai Research Pier at 0920 RIP remained the only RI resident, but on a pan at 1129 I found a newly hauled out Mikala on the beach, 100 ft left of 1BS, at the left end. She was happily playing with sticks, but soon settled down to snooze mode for the day.

The highlight of the day came at 1133 when , on a pan, I found Duke newly hauled out to the extreme left end of the beach. I had last seen the boy on 9-25-09 in the same location. This absence was 5 days. Where is is going, only Duke knows. It was comforting to see his chubby little N18 bod back home !

Team Billand checked in at 0606 to advise that Irma was still on White Plains beach just east of the main lifeguard stand.

Diane Gabriel called at 1038 to advise that Kermit had hauled out at the far west end of the beach fronting cottage #1944. Barbara would call again at 1125 to advise that Kermit had relocated to join Irma.
