VOG made Rabbit Island observations challenging. "They" say Trades tomorrow !!!! ????
At 0641 , from Makapuu Overview I could barely make out a male belly up in the grass at the right end of the beach. It would later prove to be Buster. When I got back to Makai Pier at 0941 I found that Buster had moved down and was now in the company of the lovely Mikala. They would enter the water at 1007 , and haul out along with Duke, at the left end of the beach at 1129, where they remained the rest of the day.
Team Billand spent the day on wild seal chases. There was a report of an animal on the othere side of the Ewa end fence at White Plains, but nobody there when they arrived. They and a report of possibly and large and small animal in the Maili Point area, but again, nothing. They did manage to find a swimming head at Palm Grove, CIP and followed it as far as the lighthouse at Germaine's, but it was well off shore, and kept on going. The photos were inconclusive , but in one, a possible scar behind the right eye is visible if you blow it up, which offers up the possibility of T15M, but that is waaaaay to "iffy". I wouldn't even bet YOUR cat on that call.
