DB (cont) Irma and Kermit

In addition to DB's post... Jen sent this email out to the volunteers... MANY THANKS to all that helped out!
Aloha all,

Got the call I have been waiting for two weeks now! Irma has left White Plains! Jan Williamson called at 5:30pm to say that Irma had just departed in the direction of Diamond Head. After, they checked up on Kermit who was down at the cottages and he too had departed. The kids at the beach all had a blast mimicking Irma's departure from the beach.

Many thanks to all who watched over Irma during her molt. I think she had a much more peaceful stay this year and it's because of all of you! It was a great opportunity for the community to see a monk seal up close (without disturbing of course!) and our volunteers were able to help educate about what an important species they are.
