Today was a big day in the monk seal world... we had our usual suspects which you can read about in DB's Post, we had a seal up on the North Shore Lanikea Beach and many of our volunteers here on Oahu busy awaiting the star of the day... KP2. You will read a little further down from a couple of our main peeps a little bit of what they experienced.
For me I was helping out Jen, Rafe and Dana prepare his tempary home.. we cleaned, we organized, and waited.... and finally he arrived. Please enjoy the mini clips!

What an awesome day to see our little guy again. Wasn't AS little as I remember. Six people lifting in the old days was plenty. This time we NEEDED all six. Healthy, sweet, gentle soul. How blessed we all are to be able to care for this critter. Off to clean poop and then onto SEAL COUNT 2009. The t-shirts are awesome so be on the look out for seals and seal counters.
