Team Billand spotted a seal foraging off campbells. They ID'd Kalani RN14 by his applied bleach mark (oh how we love those numbers). Kalani was doing seven minute dives. Team Billand "thinks" there may have been another seal there with a greener snout, but not sure.
At 9:30 am Team Billand stopped off at a westside beach and saw a fat male critter snoozing on the left high rock. They were surprised to ID Kekoa Alii RK72. Kekoa been away from the area for a bit so it was good to have him back. While there Kekoa galumphed over to this water hole and was completely hidden.
Later in the afternoon after 2:00 pm they saw another critter had joined Kekoa. They were able to ID RIP RR70 on the left high rock. The tide was rising fast and Kekoa headed out shortly after. RIP remained on left high rock alone, he is looking healthy and robust.
In between checks on Kekoa they came across RL42 Leia about 1 pm. She was hidden in the rocks once again, out of public view. Thanks to the waves her tags, head scar and some scar/scratched on her butt were visible.
Team Billand also got to enjoy some dolphins jumping for joy.
