Lesley did a quick check down the beach in the early afternoon and found RW02 PvKauai in front of the house. She hadn't seen him in her neighborhood for a while so it was ice to have him back. (He's been on the west side of Ka'ena Point perhaps it got to crowded for him so he headed home.)
Team Billand arrived at the westside location by 8:15 and didn't see any critters. They stuck around for a good 15 minutes and spotted RN14 Kalani off shore. A few minutes later Lei Ola hauled up and as soon as they got a picture of her, a second seal came in. The second critter was was actually RN14 Kalani who hauled up next to Lei Ola and stayed by her side.
Team Billand stayed at the location for two hours watching these two, no other critters arrived. They left to do the Ka'ena West Trek.
On the way to their Ka'ena Trek they made a stop by the cliffs and found RL42 Leia on the rocks and well hidden. Her tags were showing and she was resting peacefully. Also off shore the whales were providing lots of entertainment.
When Team Billand returned to westside beach at 2:30 pm they found Kawena RH36 was on the rocks with Lei Ola and Kalani RN14.
