Team Billand arrived at a westside beach this morning and just sat to see if any seals were foraging or ready to haul out. They heard vocalizing from seals and saw a lot of flipper flapping going on. They first spot Kekoa Alii RK72 haul up on rocks to the right. He appears to be agitated and well her comes another critter, none other than Kaale RH32 bugging Kekoa. (some how I knew this was the culprit).
Team Billand did check back on them early afternoon and both were still there. At this time they spotted a seal foraging off shore doing 6 minute dives. They were able to see a ding on the its back, which makes them think it maybe RIP RR70. After an hour of observing this critter, it had disappeared.
Team Billand decided to check another close by beach and there was RIP RR70 had landed. They called the hotline and stuck around for a while.
Team Billand had gone from beach to beach today, seeing a lot of "seal rocks". Finally at one point they spotted a sign and so they dropped by to see what was happening. They found volunteer Melina on site and critter RH92. She is looking healthy and was ID'd by tags, scars on right side of face. She moved to the water line and she blended in well.
