Team Billand arrived to west side location and found Kekoa Alii RK72 on rocks alone. While watching over Kekoa Team Billand was joined by Melody, then there is a another seal coming in and hauls out by Kekoa. They were able to ID RW02. Oh that wasn't the end of it, another critter coming in ID'd as RN14 Kalani. All three seal are up to the right resting.
Team Billand solicited a couple of fishermen to help pull a telephone pole ( yes you read that correctly) up from the rocks. Team Billand dealt with this yesterday. Melody pitched in and helped them wedge it between some rocks far from the water.
Melody spotted a seal and then they spotted two seals coming in fighting in water. They both haul in Kawena RH36 trying to escape from Kaale RH32. They make it over the rocks, to lower rocks and haul up. Kaale still living up to his name butthead. Finally they both settle for a nap,
When Team Billand got to plains they spot Buster V08 resting in a zone made by the life guards. Buster was resting peacefully no one bothering him. Melody arrived shortly after.
On a side note: While at white plains a surfer was asking about Kermit and Irma. Team Billand gave them the information about the seals that once came to plains are no longer around. Very sweet how many surfers remember those seals.
Kermit and Irma were legendary not to mention when Benny would show up. How odd this came up today and Barbara shared it. It's a perfect since todays sighting of Ka'ale and Kawena.
When I first saw today's pictures of these two I immediately thought of Kermit and Irma. Kawena is Irma's granddaughter. Could Ka'ale and Kawena be picking up where Kermit and Irma left off?
