On a pan at 1033 I found Aukai (RL12) just hauling out 80 ft right of 3BS. She too remained the rest of the day.
Marilyn & Lesley did their customary trek to the End of the World today. At 0814 they reported a 65% molted Kimo Kai (RT12), once again at 10 min beach on the way in. At the point of Ka’ena Point they found RIP (RR70),Ka’ena (RO40), Temp319, R330 (Squinty) & RL42.
The Billands called at 1015 to advise that posse member Lanny had reported Benny (RE74) swimming by Nimitz Beach, headed for White Plains. The lifeguards there advised that he checked the beach for chicks but continue his hunt.
At 1130 he hauled out to a tide pool at Nimitz Beach. At 1041 Ocean Safety called with the report of an animal at “Kammies’, Sunset Beach.
At 1132 Jeannie Martinson reported that it was 2 animals. Once again it was said to be RK36 & an U/U. The photo was inconclusive.
A series of texts from Gina Walker, who was on pup duty at Turtle Bay today, advised of Ua(RT10) & Holokai at the birth beach, Ola (RG03) at her birth beach, and La’akea (RK82) at Right Spot’s Spot , and what would prove to be Right Spot (R016) at the hotel beach. Excellent ID photos, Gina !!
