Also at 0727 I found what would prove to be an U/M, with a new coat and at least 1 red tag, 50 ft left of 1BS , on RI. Both would later move down to the left end of the beach , near the water line, for the day. The unknown male is probably well known to me, but simply never showed me what I needed to see to make an ID.
Both Gayle and I were on the Kea Kuest all day. My last check of the Blowhole Cove was at 1416. Nobody was home. At 1705 Gayle called...”little dude is here”. Here was the cove on the Sandy Beach side of the Blowhole Lookout. When I arrived at 1712, there was Kea (RN46). He was still there at dark. Thank you Gayle ???
Team Billand checked in at 1259 advising that the White Plains lifeguards had called to report the arrival of an animal fronting Tower#1, WP. The Billands could not respond today. They notified Dana, and she sent out a plea for help with the haul out. I’ve heard no further word.

Follow up to yesterday, Terri went after work to White Plains to ID and check on the seal at Tower 1. A caller identified Haupu by her bleach mark at Paradise Cove on the rocks. Duke sent the Aloha Team out to set up some barriers until a Monk Seal Team member could respond. He called back to say that she was just swimming in the water. Despite this, Warren, another big thank you, went to Paradise Cove to check out the situation there.
Thank you both.
