Rabbit Island was Monk Seal free today.
At 0730 Team Billand advised that Haupu (RB24) was at White Plains. Their posse member, Rich had cordoned her off on arrival at 0630.
At 0718 Ocean Safety reported an animal at “Depots”, Nanakuli. The Billands confirmed the Pohaku (RO28) ID at 1044. She would depart at 1500.
At 1129 the Billands advised that Jean had reported the arrival of RIP (RR70) to join Haupu at White Plains. Haupu departed at 1715. RIP woke up and discovered her departure, and hit the water at 1721.
At 1329 Team Billand found RK36 & Kolohe (RW22), together at Maili Point. You don’t see this everyday. Two Kolohes. RK36 is “Kauai Kolohe”
Late arriving emails from Dana bought word, via Daniel, of R5AY in Hauula again today, and an email from Stephanie G provided shots of what I believe to be Rocky in Ewa Beach. The ID is very weak, based solely on a small scar on the right side of her face/neck.
