Aloha Good People!!
Today is a mile stone here on the monk seal mania blog.... this post is number 5,000..... yes 5,000. ALSO it was 7 years on this very day I saw my very first monk seal ever.... needless to say he won my heart over. Although Chester is long gone, he will forever live on in my heart.... and here on the blog.... it was because of him an old scraggly bony molting seal that all of this began.
I would like to thank all of you for making this blog a success.... without YOUR input it wouldn't exist.... we continue to have a following and I will continue as long as you are here to enjoy it.
To DB my dear dear DB..... thank you for your daily reports....
Just to clarify... the 5000 post are the results of:
781 post during 2014
698 post during 2013
653 post during 2012
850 post during 2011
886 post during 2010
612 post during 2009
518 post during 2008
Thank you to each one of you who have volunteered your time and shared your experiences here on the blog....
We've had some heart breaks and we've shared the celebration of life.... in the end we make a difference even on those really really tough days.... I encourage you to keep on trekking and watching over our beloved Hawaiian monk seals!
OH by the way.... I still have monk seal ale in stock !!! just got a new shipment (at my store).

Wow 5,000 post!
I wish a Happy New Year to the awesome volunteers and the Monk Seals!
I sure hope the missing ones come back, one thing I have learned is that anything is possible.
Here's hoping for a safe year for everyone.
And I wish a speedy recovery for Benny.
Thank you all for what you are doing for these wonderful creatures. I have been following this blog for several months now. I enjoy looking each morning to see what the seals are up to. Always hoping for good news and grieving with you when there is a loss.
May this be a good year!
Wow, that's A LOT of posts. Kudos on some amazing dedication and passion to reach that milestone!
Here's to the new year having more of the good news and less of the heartache!
