May 30, 2026 Saturday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilynn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:15 to 2:13 pm and there were eight seals seen during that time.
Again on LPB was weaner PO3, she moved around in a small area. PO3: weaner size, female belly and an Allflex tag on the RRF.
Down from the 1BS was weaner PO5: recent weaner size, light male belly, no tags. After the Adult Male left the three other seals near SRI, he visited with PO5 briefly.
RK38 Hali'a and her pup PO4 are still together. Initially they were at Middle Cliff area where they nursed and snoozed. At 1:15 pm, Marilyn realized that RK38 and PO4 had disappeared, a short time later they hauled out on the beach between the 3BS and SRI. Marilyn wonders how much longer RK38 will stay with the pup.
Initially near the SRI channel were an Adult Male and MO10 and PO10. MO10 has some scars on her right dorsal side. A short time later a Sub-adult Female hauled out behind the SRI channel. Then the AM went over to the SF. They then moved up very near to Mom and
pup. There was lots of moving around. At one point PO10 moved down to the AM near the SRI channel. The pup then returned to mom. The AM left the SRI channel area about 1 pm and briefly visited PO5 near the 1BS. The SF was sub-adult soze, light ventral with female belly, not sure about tags. The AM was large adult size, darker coat, male belly, at least one red tag.

Team R&B were surprised today checking out the west side. They spotted a male on the rocks near the zen area. They were overjoyed to see the handsome, RG28 Lefty. He does have a lot of scars but still
handsome being 11 years old. With the rising tide he moved higher up at the zen, where Kala usually hangs out. Aw, if he only knew she was hiding around the other side.

They didn't see her right way, but after a wave came in they spotted a very "fat hippo" in the water. It was RH76 Kala hiding from the boys. She just keeps getting bigger.

Lastly they got word of a seal on shore at plains. The seal had just hauled out, but by they time they got there the beach was filled with people. It was RT06 resting in a nice zone set up by the lifeguards. They truly are the best!  RT06 was snoozing by a sandcastle that some kid probably made, oh well at least RT06 gets to enjoy it.
