Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:10 to 2:22 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Weaner PO3 was on LPB mostly snoozing. She was later visited by an Adult Female and followed the Adult Female into the water. Later returned alone and went back into snooze mode.
RK38 Hali'a and her pup PO4 were down from the 1BS. They entered the water shortly after Marilyn started viewing and did not haul out until 1:51 pm. Then they moved up the beach and PO4 snoozed.
Weaner PO5 was on the beach down from the 2BS. He moved around a lot but mostly snoozed.
When Marilyn started viewing there was an Adult Female near the SRI channel. She then disappeared and hauled out by the LPB channel and visited with weaner PO3. The AF returned to the water and PO3 followed. Then the AF hauled out alone between the 3BS and SRI and went into snooze mode. Marilyn believes the AF is pregnant, she has a dark coat and two red tags. Marilyn isn't sure who she is.
Team R&B started their day on the west side. Their first find was Miss Kala RH76. She was alone and resting on the rocks.
While hanging out with Kala they spotted a seal approaching the area. The seal turned into the seal inlet looked, bobbing up and down and left. Then the seal went to another inlet looking around. Team R&B could tell he was pretty happy when he saw Kala.
He quickly hauled in, never taking his eyes off Kala. When he was next to her, she woke up, flipped up her hind flippers, whooping him.He just toned down, relaxed next to her and they rested.
Team R&B did see the survey boat again near a pod of dolphins. They assume they're doing some type of study.
