09/21/2022 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

They started their day at the bay where they found RH76 Kala. She was snuggled in way up in the rocks.
They couldn't see very much of her because of her position.
Later in the day when they returned to check she was gone and there were some homeless folks in her spot. Another upsetting find while they were there was a cat roaming around in the rocks where the shearwaters hide.

At another west side location they spotted a seal on upper rocks. They got excited since this spot is
known to Kekoa Alii.  It was not him, it was in fact RG32, who was not easy to photograph.

Next stop they spotted a big male, who they ID'd as RG28 Lefty. He was resting on the rocks.
Team R&B saw an Akule boat arrive and lay a gil net, inspite of so many people in the water, not to mention the dolphins.
They noticed RG28 wasn't on the rocks anymore. They spotted another seal in the water by the nets. They watched and could see the seal eating fish off the nets. Finally they men took the nets out of the water and left. And so did the seals.

Team R&B arrived at another location and and saw two seals on shore. There was Lefty RG28 (now we know where he took off to). And with him was Aukai RL12.  They spotted another seal coming in, and haul out. It was the green seal who they ID'd as RH32 Kaale.  Volunteers were on site, and good thing since there were so many people.

Lastly they made a stop and saw a seal belly passing between the

rocks. Then the seal turned about and they saw white right fore flipper and it was a female. Finally it flipped again and they saw her tag it was RL70 Leina. She is 100% molted and looking quite beautiful.
From afar they saw a big turtle on shore.

They couldn't do the Kaena west trek due to some kind of film crew out in the area.
