09/19/2022 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

Their first stop at the bay they found R3CX Nalu. He was on the rocks snoozing and alone.
They were also thrilled to find a shearwater chick.

At another west side location they found RG32 on lower rocks. The big boy was alone and resting.

For a few days they hadn't seen any pods of dolphins around, but
today they were back. They were showing off having fun, which is something dolphins seem to do often. Amazing acrobats!

Team R&B made an early check of secrets and they were surprise there were no seals, no wallows, no trails, just lots of tourist.  They stayed for about 45 minutes and then left.  Two minutes after driving off they got a call that a seal was on shore.
They hurried back and found Aukai RL12 snoozing to the right near the rocks. They put out three signs, called the hotline and waited.
A "tourist fan club" arrived to watch Aukai.  Some went into the water, talking loud, not showing any respect for Aukai. One dude went snorkeling.
Aukai reentered the water, rolled around and returned to the shoreline. The tourist were all right there, crowded around. Aukai wanted to land, but with all the people there she hesitated. Team R&B called out to give her space so she could land. They didn't move, and the dude who had been snorkeling came face to face with Aukai.
Team R&B walked up to the folks, pleading with them to move back, and they did after much pleading. Aukai came in fast and hauled out.  Oh she's 100% molted, that was fast.
A volunteer never arrived.

Team R&B made the very hot Kaena West trek. Out there they found RP30 Puka on the rocks. He was facing the other direction so they couldn't get a sense of how far along in his molt.
Then out of nowhere a second seal came in. He was bobbing up and down looked at Puka and then slithered off. It was RG28 Lefty probably looking for a female.
