Team R&B arrived at a west side beach and saw there were two seals with signs up. There was one on the rocks getting ready to leave. They were able to ID RG28 Lefty.
On shore was a very alert RN14 Kalani. Seems there was more going on than meets the eye. As Team R&B walked down the path when they saw a third seal way up by the naupaka. There she was RL12 Aukai looking good, green, and lots of scratches showing. Her coat is looking a little grubby, maybe ready to molt.
A Japanese tourist came to the area in a hurry, Team R&B stopped him and asked him not to go near seal, he replied, I go. He ran toward the seals and RN14 reared up and charged him. Clearly not happy with his mouth wide open and barking.
Team R&B called the hotline so they could put the signs further away from Aukai and RN14. They left after that.
Next stop they spotted a green male on the rocks snoozing. They ID'd RL20 Kalua. There were a couple of people further down. They walked about watching the big surf. To their delight there to the left was RH76 Kala. It took them a bit to get her ID, its been awhile since they have seen her. It was the left scar on her face that confirmed her ID. She looks a little green but good weight, over all just fine.
Team R&B were treated to a great show put on by some dolphins. The surf was high and they also got to see some surfers enjoying the waves.
They got to Yoks area and spotted a seal snoozing on shore. The surf was dangerously high and pretty close to her. They could see a tag but unable to read it. They could see it was a female and very clean nothing to work with to get an ID. She was reported as an unidentified female.
