Team Billand started out early and at 6:15 was rewarded when they arrived at Paradise Cove. They spotted two trails and two wallows, and no seals, but then they saw Pohaku RO28 to the left corner near the Naupaka. They heard the other critter was Benny RE74 was there about 3 am but left the site.
Pohaku has a lot more scratches under her belly and lots of cookie scars. Team Billand called into the hotline and spoke with Dr. Michelle to give an update.
There were lots of folks passing by her all the time they were there, volunteer Kevin arrived and Team Billand left.
A stop at a Leeward beach they found Miss Lei Ola on the rocks resting. They called the hotline and then got to speak with Dr. Michelle. They had a good talk with her and updated her on Lei Ola resting comfortably, weight conditions and for all purposes appears to be in good health.
Team Billand's next stop they spotted RH32 Ka'ale coming in. They waited for him to haul up on the rocks and settle down and got their photos. Unfortunately Team Billand had to take care of some personal business and could not stay.
Marilyn checked in on Kaiwi RK96 and PO3 before and after work today. Both times the mom and pup were near the naupaka. In the morning she observed PO3 nursing and then went into a snooze mode. When Marilyn arrived this evening they were in snooze mode with the pup about 10-15 feet away from Mom. The pup's coat appears to be fairly brown at this time.
Marilyn also checked in at Sandys on her way home after seeing some telltale signs of something going on. Sure enough she found Buster RV08 snoozing on the sand. She was told he was there early morning and was still there 6 pm. Buster was ID'd by the scar across his left eye.

Yay Pohaku!!! Hope Barbara whispered in her ear for her to come “home” to have her 2018 pup. Thanks for the update.
