Went out to the point this afternoon. It was beautiful, sunny and very windy to opposite of early this morning.
Juvenal Albatrosses are every where in the NARS in groups, dancing and singing, flying all around. Some times near chicks that can't close their eyes and snooze thru it all.
from far I spotted 2 seals in the Main Pool. RR70 "RIP" was near the waterline on a small sand beach and R330 "Squinty" was on the reef island.
I was lucky he was lying on his side and his NB was visible, if not I would have spent a long time trying to ID him due the late afternoon light in my face.
The tide was high and big sets were rolling in, finally one wave rolled him off the reef and he made his way towards RR70 "RIP". This one barked at him to back off so he rolled over but stayed around.
Where are the girls RL42 & RN58 "Luana" ????
