The morning started with the Team in tact where they found RH32 Ka'ale at the outfall doing his thing. Today there was a mix of fishermen attitudes, some were upset with little butt head and others didn't say anything. Wish there was a way to get Ka'ale to stop going in this area. (I know Team Billand agrees)
Barbara headed to Ka'ena Point and Robert stayed behind to check the beaches on the west side.
Robert stopped at a Leeward beach where he found Ka'ale (thankfully) and Kalani RN14 snoozing on the rocks together.
Robert's next find was RW02 PvKauai at a beach in Nanakuli. He is looking pretty portly. They both checked on him when Barb got back from Ka'ena Point he was still there.
Barbara was was motivated to make the trek to see some albatross (she is a big bird watcher, not just big birds, all birds, I guess bird lover :-) Despite the rain and wind she marched forward and saw the albatross, they greeted her arrival by flying above her.
The first critter at back beack was RIP RR70. He was a long when she got there and there were people around but off to the left. He is looking big and healthy.
At the main pool R3CU was on the rocks sleeping alone. He was ID'd by his tags and CC scar on his belly. On her recheck before leaving the point R3CU was being visited by another seal, it might have been RIP. R3CU is much bigger than the last time Barb saw him months ago.
Barbara found RL42 at the large pond alone and huge! Her tag was showing, unfortunately it poured the entire time.
Late afternoon Team Billand was back again and they found Lei Ola RH48 hanging out on a Leeward Beach. Rob actually spotted her earlier but his battery died and well no photos.
Ka'ale RH32 Rascal doesn't even begin to describe this one!
RN14 Kalani and RH32 Ka'ale (best buddies despite how much they fight)
