Well thankfully Team Billand was out there making their rounds. They were out at a Leeward Beach by the outfall area. Upon arrival they found two seals entering the area with just a handful of fishermen out there today. They all had good attitudes towards the seals and Team Billand being there.
Team Billand ID'd Kaale RH32 zooming about with Kalani RN14 following him and vocalizing and making physical contact. It was an action packed with lots of movement and noise.
Kalani RN14 wants Kaale out of there, but Kaale stays by going to the corner, diving down to mid bottom for about 4 minutes, comes up vocalizing as if he just can't get whatever it is he is trying to get.
Team Billand noticed dolphins coming in too, in a decent size pod. They came close to the jetty, it was amazing to see all the critters hanging out together. There was even a turtle, of course Kaale chased it and then moved on.
Looks like RN14 left the area, but Kaale remains foraging.
Team Billand headed out to another Leeward Beach and initially there were no seals, but Barb made herself comfortable in her "rock" chair. She spots a seal foraging off shore, worth the wait. The critter came in and was ID'd as RW02 PvKauai. He made a slow approach checking the site out, then hauled up on lower rocks and went to sleep.
On their afternoon recheck he was still there, but moved on the lower rocks.
Team Billand made their way to Ewa and stopped at a beach. They found Pohaku RO28 on shore
resting. There were lots of footprints near her. Hopefully nobody bothered her she is looking very fat and so healthy.
Last stop for Team Billand was back on the west side. There they found two seals one is RIP RR70, and the other is Ka'ena RO40 about 15 feet apart on the rocks. Ka'ena awoke, jerked his head back and noticed RIP across from him. He barked, Rip did nothing, Ka'ena moved to the right facing the ocean. "The End"
