Team Billand found Pohaku at White Plains by the "Sharkbite Tree". For those of you who don't know this is an area that an infamous seal nicknamed Sharkbite T15M would hang out and NOT a place where sharks bite. Okay, back to Pohaku she was snoozing all comfy, lifeguard put up a zone. Team Billand spent time educating the folks at the cabins. Team Billand was out at the site and left at 7:20 am, and while they were Iroquios they received a call and went back at 8:20 am. They called the hotline.
Team Billand's next find RN58 Luana one of Nihoa's offspring. Initially Team Billand though they were thought they were looking at RL42 but once they got a good look at the tags they ID'd Luana who hadn't been seen in a while. She's looking just fine.
Posse Pal Gayle spotted two seals on Rabbit Island today. Although she can't be sure, she thinks the larger seal looks like it could be Buster. The conditions on the east side are not favorable for the seals to haul out so not surprising no one was at Sandy's for a few days and Kaupo beach. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
