Mrs. Whisperer spent several hours viewing Rabbit Island from Makai Pier this morning at 11:05am. There were five critters on the Island, three in a group near the first blue sign, one by itself several yards east of the 3rd blue sign and one near Seal Rock Inlet. The group of three neat the first blue sign are labeled as;
UJF#1 an unknown juvenile female with a new coat and 2 tags, she did not have any applied bleach numbers. ( so it is not RH36)
UJM#2 an unknown juvenile male with a new coat and 2 tags who was somewhat larger than the juvenile female. This critter may be RG32.
UM#3 this adult male seal was larger and had a brownish-green coat. There was no applied bleach number so it is not Kea (RN46).
UM#4 this adult male seal was alone about 70 yards wast of the 3rd blue sign with a brownish-green coat and at least one rear flipper tag. There was no applied bleach number (not Kea).
Weaner near seal rock inlet there was a lone male "weaner size" male with 2 flipper tags, By process of elimination the critter is reported as RJ06 Aka.
A large north swell caused Mrs. Whisperer to leave the pier. Mrs. Whisperer did find Right Spot early this morning and she spent a good part of the morning checking other hot spots coming up empty.
Team Billand covered lots of miles today from west side, north shore to white plains. After leaving Ua Malie and the brothers, they found Kaimana on their way home. They spotted her her swimming in an area where there were some folks fishing. She had something in her mouth, and of course the fear was she snagged something off a hook, but no way, she caught herself an eel. She played with it, tossed it, dove for it and continued to torment the eel, not sure if she ever decided to actually eat it.
Next stop white plains where they found RO28 Pohaku at 2:15pm. She was lower on shore alone resting. They were told by Volunteer Susie that lifeguards put up the zone. There were lots of people out there today. Pohaku is looking great and gaining weight. They left at 3:15 after a long but fun day.
Posse pal Gayle found her sweet Kaiwi at china walls. She also spotted Right Spot at Sandys and got some relief from volunteers.

He has been on Rabbit Island many times and he been there to MOLT.
I wish with all my heart and soul that, THAT IS KEKOA ALII. That way, I know where he is.
