At 0750 I found Kolohe (RW22) snoozin’ in the Morning Glory, right of 3BS on Rabbit Island. He still hasn’t started molting, but that is what he is here for so it should be any minute now.
At 1046 an animal hauled out 30 ft left of 2BS, and I spent the entire day trying to confirm an ID. I wouldn’t confirm it until I got home to check out what I’d been looking out at all day against my database, but lo & behold it turned out to be RK36 ! He had been doing his molt at Mokuleia earlier this month, finishing up on the 14th. His last sighting had been at Turtle Bay on 11-19-16. His last Rabbit Island visit had been on 10-21-16.
Barbara checked in at 0853 with the report of RL42 at the 20Min mark. RW02 would arrive at the same location at 0930. I guess he was over the Mokuleia scene. Newly molted he is back on the road and lookin’ for chicks !
At 0924 Barbara found Lei Ola just down the trail a bit at the 25Min mark on the KP west side trail.
