11/9/2016 DB's Dailies: Right Spot@Kaupo Beach Park, Kekoa,Kawena&J/M@ Rabbit Island, Kolohe@Lanai Lookout, Ka'ena@Ka'ena Point, RK36 & RW02@Mokuleia, Holokai@Turtle Bay,

At 0709 I found Right Spot (R016) snoozin’ at Cockroach Cove, Kaupo Beach Park. I notified the Hotline.

 At 0900 I found my unknown J/M in the Morning Glory behind Seal Rock Inlet on Rabbit Island.

 He would be briefly joined by Kawena (RH36) at 0920. They would both enter the water but haul out again at separate location. The J/M to Seal Rock Inlet at 1011, and Kawena to Rocky Right Beach at 1028.

 At 0916 I found Kekoa (RK72) just hauling out, 60 ft right of 1BS. On RI. All would remain the rest of the day.

 Tammy T., checked in at 0808 with the report of Ka’ena(RO40) at the back beach Ka’ena Point. On her way out she would report RK36 at the birth beach, Mokuleia & near the Lyman Estate she reported RW02. Lesley would later call to report both at the same locations. She said RK36 appeared 60% molted, while RW02 is 15%.

 Diane Gabriel spent the day with the new & improved Holokai (RG40), hangin’ out at Turtle Bay. 

Whalewatcher posse member Bob Ubersax called at 1628 with the report of animal on the Lanai Lookout flats. When I arrived at 1636 I confirmed the Kolohe(RW22) ID.
