When I got back to Makai Pier at 0835 I found that Kolohe (RW22) & Kawena (RH36) were together below the Morning Glory fronting 1BS , on Rabbit Island.
At 0853 Kekoa (RK72) hauled out to join the others. He and Kolohe had words and Kolohe maintained his prime location next to Kawena, blocking Kekoa’s every attempt to change that. Kolohe would keep him at bay all day.
A Colleen email at 0730 advised that she had Kaiwi (RK96) on the beach right behind her house. Mark Sullivan (NOAA) got an N96 bleach on her. Mahalos to Colleen&Mark for the shots. Colleen advised that Kaiwi was gone at 1722.
Posse members Tammy&Dave T., did the End of the World today from the north side. At 0906 they reported RK36 at Hidden Beach. At 0955 they reported Aukai (RL12), Ka’ena (RO40) & RL04 at Ka’ena Point. On their way home they reported RW02 at Mokuleia, near the Lyman Mansion.
Lesley confirmed the RW02 ID when she got home. A Diane Gabriel text at 1215 advised that she, Lesley&Carola had done the west side Ka’ena Point trail,to Ka’ena Point, and had found Lei Ola (RH48)& RL04 at separate locations on the journey.
Team Billand had seen Benny briefly, as he was departing Paradise Cove, dark & early.
The only real find of the day came at 1215 when they happened to find R8HE at the Kalaeloa Boat Harbor.
