HMMA Update from September 7th

The morning began at 0447 with a report of 2 seal at Paradise Cove. Barbara would ID Pohaku (RO28) and Benny (RE74). Barbara reported Benny's departure at 0535.

At 0900 Brittany checked in with a report of Kaiwi (RK96) and Rocky (RH58) at the Outrigger Canoe Club. Brittany reported that Kaiwi was successfully vaccinated by NOAA staff at 0930.

At 0929 Melina checked in with a report of Nihoa (R912) on the rocks.

Gayle checked in at 0932 with a report of Kawena (RH36) at Alan Davis.

Karen T. checked in at 0952 with a report of Lei Ola (RH48) sleeping on the rocks at the Keiki Pool.

Don Porter checked in at 1107 with a report of an UM at 10 minute beach. At 1118 Don checked in again with a report of Kaena (RO40) at Kaena Point.

At 1220 Don reported who he believed to be BG (R303) at Kaena Point. At 1432 a report came about a seal at Camp Erdman. Don responded and ID'ed Ka'ale (RH32).

Don checked in at 1454 with a report of RK32 at the Mokuleia birth beach. At 1818 a report came in about a seal at Germaine Luau. The seal was hauled out between the light house and Germaine's. No ID could be made at the time of sighting.
