Down at Rocky Right Beach was probably the same animal as yesterday, based on location and behavior. When it was visible the morning light and vog made an ID impossible. The animal then moved down behind the rocks, just as yesterday, and there was no hope of getting an ID.
Marilyn was doing a solo trek to the end of the world today. At 0943 she found RK36 and what would prove to be Aukai (RL12) at Ka’ena Point. Though there was nobody at Hidden Beach on her shift, later shots on Instagram from Megan Martens showed Luana (RN58) snoozin’ there.
At 0615 Team Billand found RIP (RR70) at Maili Point. He would later (1440) be joined by Kekoa (RK72). RIP was harrassed by a family at 1532. He let them know that he wasn’t happy about that, and they moved away. Both seals still remain.
At 0656 the Billands found R5AY at Lagoon#4, KoOlina. She would depart at 1412.
At 1012 Dana called with the report of an animal at Paradise Cove. The Billands would confirm the Kolohe (RW22) ID at 1038. He would depart at 1233.
Dana Mail at 1203 brought word of an U/U at Shark’s Cove. Awaiting more info, and also RI37 at Bath Tub Beach, Laie..

Thanks To Warren Miles, Marie and her Daughter and Chrissy who took care of R5AY yesterday. The crowd just kept getting bigger and bigger.
To Zuly who took care of Kolohe Paradise Cove.
Again, we had the honor of meeting Miss Honey Girl in person on the west side. I think she got a good rest, hope to see her again. She truly is a LEGEND SEAL to know.
To the Ladies and Gentlemen at North Shore, we did our best to educate tourists and the locals all about this amazing female known as : HONEYGIRL!!!!!
Big Thanks to CHRIS of KoOlina, for the call for the help in protecting Honeygirl.
