On my first look at Rabbit Island at 0700, I found a group of 4, just below the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS. They would prove to be RM38, Kolohe (RW22), Kimo Kai (RT12)& Kainoa (RN04). RM38 would depart the group, entering the water at 0853. I did not see him again today.
At 0852 on a routine pan I found what appeared to be a weaner, by size, just coming out of Seal Rock Inlet. It would move up and into the grass, but would come back into view later in the afternoon. I was unable to confirm a sex, so once again, I hoping that its Cass, but of course it will have be an U/W.
At 1139 Kea (RN46) hauled out to join the other 3 cast members.
At 1135 Gayle called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at China Walls. Her new bleach was not visible, but Gayle managed to confirm by Kaiwi’s RHF natural bleach. Mark Sullivan sent shots from yesterday’s bleaching mission.
At 0636 Team Billand reported Buster (RV08) & Benny (RSE74) at #1708, White Plains. Buster would depart at 1030. Mahalos to Warren,Paula& Zuly !
CarolaMail brought word of RI37 at Turtle Bay, as well as Nihoa (R912) near Right Spot’s Spot. When Jon got back from his 2nd Beach trek at 1455 Nihoa was gone.
