At 0737 I arrived at Makai Pier and found a cast of 5 , all in the Morning Glory, at the log, 40 ft left of IBS. The would prove to be RM38, Kimo Kai (RT12), Kainoa (RN04),Kea (RN46)&Kolohe (RW22). All would individually move down for the day.
Mahalos to Marilyn & Melanie for the quadrant trek.
At 0525 Team Billand called with the report of Pohaku (RO28) at Nanakuli. Melina advised that Pohaku remains at dark. They had found nobody on the first look at White Plains, but at 0638 Buster (RV08) hauled out to #1708, White Plains. Jan&Willie would report his departure at 1129. The Billands advised that they had gotten a call about an animal at Paradise Cove. They were responding from Ewa Beach. They confirmed a 99% molted Benny (RE74) at 1236. Mahalos to Bev & Terri. Benny remains at dark.
At 1449 Melanie Chun reported Kaiwi (RK96) at China Walls. Kaiwi was completely hidden in her Naupaka hangout, but Melanie managed to get a miracle, N96 bleach shot ! Melanie would later advise that she had seen an U/U at Spitting Cave. She was not able to ID.
Ocean Safety called at 1445 advising of a new arrival at Kaimana Beach. I contacted Dana. The animal remains but no ID was possible, per Dana.
Lesley M., called at 1717 to advise that she had RK36 fronting the Lyman Mansion, Mokuleia.
