To my shock & awe, I found Kea (RN46) scrunched amongst the rocks at the east end Sandy Beach outfall. I cordoned him off, land he has remained all all. He had last been seen on his birthday, 7-4-15 on Rabbit Island, which means he has not been seen in 17 days. A tad longer than his usual 12-14 day absences. He appears to have a fresh would on his throat. Kea departed at 1708.At 0728 I found a D#3, 20% molted, Sadie (RB12)(0632) up in the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island.
What would prove to be Aukai (RL12)(1020) was also in the Morning Glory, 20 ft right of Sadie. She too would remain all day.Despite lotsa’ lookin’ I never saw Cass today.
Team Billand checked in at 0732 with the report of Kimo Kai (RT12) at Nanakai Beach, Maili.
At 1526 Team Billand got a report of an animal at L#4, KoOlina. At 1603 they confirmed Nihoa (R912) at L#4. Barbara advised Nihoa departed at 1718.
Evening Diane G., mail brought today’s Ua& PO3 shots.
