At 0700 I found Aukai (RL12) snoozin’ in the Morning Glory, 80 ft right of 3BS on Rabbit Island.
At 1310 to my shock and awe, I found Cass (RG06) fronting the “1st Cave”, just beyond Rocky Right Beach, at the right end, on RI. This marks her furthest movement east on Rabbit Island.
It would take some time to confirm the ID , but at 1334 I found what would prove to be Kaiwi (RK96), 30 ft left of 3BS. ID was by her natural bleach on top of her head, and her N72 bleach, though my shots picked up neither.
Lesley called at 0800 advising that she had responded to a Hotline call concerning an animal at Mokuleia. She arrived to see the animal just departing and a fresh wallow in the sand. Afternoon mail from Dana brought a shot from Ariel Carr showing RI37 as that animal.
Marilyn& Ken did the End of the World trek today. On my first conversation with her at 0944, she was bummed because there were no animals at Ka’ena Point, however on her way out at 1015 she found Ka’ena (RO40) at BG’s Pool. okay... mrs. whisperer and ken are seriously a glutton for punishment.... most people were unable to deal with this heat... and they hike out to Ka'ena Point, I am impressed.
In the waaaay before Yesterday’s News department, my favorite DOFAW posse member, Amarisa Marie, forwarded photos from a 6-20-15 work day at the Mokes, showing the arrival of Aukai (RL12), and subsequent day at the beach. Thank you Ama !!
Evening texts from Diane T., advised that she was with Ua &PO3, at TB, with La’akea (RK82) at Right Spot’s Spot. Thank You Diane!
