At 0932 an animal hauled out to the left end rock flats. It would take 2 ½ hours of observation to finally get the Kea (RN46) ID, and another hour to finally get a shot of that beautiful RFF bleach.
Unfortunately, they had visitors from 1313 until 1337. 4 kayakers decided to not pay attention to the giant blue signs they so obviously saw (and read). Thankfully, though they found Sadie & Kainoa they remained away from them and the animals were unaware of their presence. The four where busted by a DOCARE Officer upon their return to Kaiona Beach Park.
Team Billand reported Kimo Kai (RT12) at Nanakai Beach, Maili, this morning at 0705. He was gone at 1229.
At 1430 the Billands found him again, this time at Guard Rails Beach, Maili.
At 1430 email from Karen Turner provided today required Ua Malie (RT10)& PO3 fix, as well as shots of a molting La’akea (RK82) at Right Spot’s Spot
