Diane Gabriel called with a Hotline report of an animal in a rocky area at Sandy Beach, at 0916. It took a while to figure out the location, but at 0927 , to my shock and awe, I found Noa (R6FI) out on the low tide rocks at Crappy Cove, Sandy Beach. According to a posse member witness he departed at around 1130, with the rising tide. This was by far the highlight of the day. Noa just popped up at Ka’ena Pt one day , back in 2012. He remained at KP and westside guy , last seen on Oahu by the Billands on 4-1-13, until he was reported on Molokai 4-19-13, where he fell in love with Molokai Di, and never came back, until today. Initially I thought there might be a connection with Benny showing up last night, and Noa’s arrival, but when I got a Molokai Di text this morning, my thoughts went immediately to Noa having followed Diane to Oahu. As the 2nd highlight of the day I met Molokai Di at Lanai Lookout this afternoon. At work on Molokai she travels by mule. Here on Oahu she travels in a “pretty little red Corvette” !!! The girls got style !
At 0825 Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28)&R319 together at Paradise Cove. Per Laura they reportedly departed at 1126.
At 1031 the Billands reported Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point.
Afternoon email from Karen Turner brought todays edition of the Ua & PO3 tale. Enjoy the outstanding shots.
