6/28/2015 DB's Dailies: Kea,Aukai,Cass & La'akea@RI,Kolohe@LL, Kimo Kai@GR, RL42@Makua Cliffs, Ka'ena,Luana&RW02@KP, RI37@3 Tabfles, Ua Malie&PO3@TB

I was on the road as usual at 0615, and Marilyn & Melanie also trekked the quadrant. We were all batting zero, buy diver /posse member Paul Hasley reported that he had seen Kolohe on all of his dives today. Melanie also checked in at 1326 to advise that she had briefly seen Kolohe as he checked Lanai Lookout Cove, but did not haul out. Paul has sent some outstanding shots of his encounters with Kolohe today .

 At Rabbit Island the day began at 0747 with Kea (RN46) out on the left end flats. He would be joined at 0827 by Aukai (RL12), and at 0925 Cass (RG06) made it a threesome. All would remain the rest of the day.

 At 1138 what would prove to be La’akea (RK82) hauled out to Seal Rock Inlet.

 At 0916 Team Billand reported Kimo Kai (RT12) at Maili Guard Rails.

 At 1015 they found RL42 at Makua Cliffs.

 I hadn’t heard anything about RI37 today, but evening email from Jason brought shots from his visit today. You can see breaks in her face. If you look at Jason’s shots from yesterday, three of them show the beginnings of her molt in the left fore flipper pit.

 Posse member Ken Tingman trekked to The End of the World today. He reported finding Ka’ena (RO40), Luana (RN58) & RW02 at Ka’ena Point.

 As is to be expected with the arrival of a new pup, Ua & PO3 shots have poured in today. Thanks to Gina, Erin, Jason & Vera for a bumper crop of baby pictures from Turtle Bay today. Enjoy !!
