At 0715 I found Aukai (RL12) snoozin’ at the log, 40 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island, and at the right end at 3BS I found RM38 on the water front rocks.
At 0949 PO2 hauled out to left of 1BS. She and Aukai were aware of one another but there was never any contact.
RM38 would relocate down to left end to join Aukai at 1127. All 3 remained all day.
Out in the wild west Team Billand reported Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Guard Rails at 0909.
At 1006 they found Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point.
At 1053 they advised that Kolohe was now at the mouth of Maipalaoa Canal. They thought he departed, but at 1114 they reported that Kolohe & Nihoa (R912) were in the canal. They reported Kolohe’s departure again at 1145, however Nihoa remained in the canal, and moved further into the canal than previously seen.
Afternoon email from Tammy Turgeau brought exciting news. She found what proved to be RI37 in Hauula. RI37 had last been seen , on Kauai, by Val, on 5-19-15. Welcome Home !!
Karen Rohter sent shots from her day at Turtle Bay, showing the sisters, La’akea (RK82) & Ola (RG03) hangin’ out together.

You called PO2 "she". Is that a typo, a guess, or official? Would love to hear that there is another little female in the monk seal world!
