Gayle & I combed the quadrant, but alas, Rabbit Island was once again the only place. At 0851 I found Cass (RG06) out on the left rock flats of Rabbit Island. She would be joined at 1039 by Kolohe (RW22). He chased her on the flats for a while and then tired of the whole thing and reentered the water only to haul out to the beach, 100 ft left of 1BS, where he snoozed away the rest of the day. Cass remained on the left rock flats.Team Billand reported Nihoa (R912) at the Maipalaoa Canal at 0714. She would remain there moving more toward the mouth of the canal. She was said to have departed at 1400.
At 0900 the Billands reported Benny (RE74) at Paradise Cove. He would later depart and Dana advised that he was cruizin’ the KoOlina Lagoons. At 1123 I received word that somebody had hauled out to Lagoon#2, and I presume it was young master Benny, but I’ve received no official word. At 1600 Team Billand advised that they had received word that Benny had done a cruise of the all the lagoons, and was now back where he started at Paradise Cove.Marilyn did a solo trek to The End of the World today. She found a chunky BG (R303) at BG’s Pool, Ka’ena (RO40 at the Runway, and Luana (RN58), 100 yds beyond BG’s pool. Luana appears to have a couple of new , superficial dings on her head.
